Mario Meliadò

Mario Meliadò is junior professor of the history of philosophy at the University of Siegen and principal investigator of the manicula project. His research focuses on the philosophical schools of the 15th century (Albertism, Thomism) and the reception of Platonic sources in medieval and Renaissance philosophy. He is currently working on Nicholas of Cusa’s marginalia to the Platonic dialogues.

Luca Burzelli is postdoctoral fellow at the University of Siegen within the manicula project. His research focuses on the history of Aristotelianism in medieval and Renaissance philosophy (Pomponazzi, Contarini, Javelli) and on topics related to natural philosophy and metaphysics. He is currently working on the edition of Nicholas of Cusa’s marginalia to the Corpus Aristotelicum.

Fabian Marx is PhD student in the history of philosophy and research assistant at the University of Siegen. His research interests include the thought of Plotinus and the history of Neoplatonism. He is currently developing a doctoral project on Nicholas of Cusa and the conception of logic in the 15th century.

Olivia Jabbour is student of philosophy, theology and German literature at the University of Siegen and student assistant in the manicula project. Her interests include contemporary analytic philosophy, Aristotle, and medieval theology (Anselm of Canterbury, Thomas Aquinas). She is currently learning to transcribe medieval Latin manuscripts.

Gregor Nickel is professor of philosophy and history of mathematics at the University of Siegen. His research interests include the relationship between mathematics and ethics, and the philosophy of mathematics of Ernst Cassirer. He is working on the concept of number in the thought of Nicholas of Cusa at the crossroads of the Platonic and Aristotelian traditions.

Lisa Devriese is an assistant professor at the De Wulf-Mansion Centre and director of Aristoteles Latinus. She is also the Secretary-General of the Société Internationale pour l’Etude de la Philosophie Médiévale (SIEPM). Her research interests include the reception of Aristotle’s philosophy in the Middle Ages, editing medieval Latin texts, and the study of marginal annotations in manuscripts.

Andreas Speer is full professor of philosophy and director of the Thomas-Institut of the University of Cologne. Among his research projects are critical editions on Averroes and Durandus of St. Pourçain, and digital platforms as the Digital Averroes Research Environment (DARE). He is interested in the historiography of philosophy and the connection of the historical and systematic approach to philosophy.

Marco Brösch is research librarian at the Cusanus Library in the St. Nikolaus-Hospital (Bernkastel-Kues) and research associate at the Cusanus Institute in Trier. His work focuses on the life and manuscript collections of Nicholas of Cusa. He also specialises in late medieval book history and the literature of the devotio moderna.

Pasquale Arfé is research fellow of the Accademia Vivarium Novum (Frascati, Italy). His research focuses on the medieval history of Platonism and Hermetism. Two central strands of his work concern Honorius Augustodunensis as a witness to medieval Eriugenism, and Cusanus‘ reception of the Hermetic tradition. He is preparing a new edition of Cusanus‘ marginalia on Eriugena and the Clavis Physicae.
